By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors, including in classrooms and educational settings.
This Site provides a free interactive geography map quiz for educational and recreational purposes. The quiz lets you identify countries and capitals by clicking them on an interactive map. No account is required and no personal data is collected by the Site operator.
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of progress, or inability to access the Site.
The Site is designed for learning and general interest. It is not an authoritative reference. You should not rely on it for legal, academic, cartographic, geopolitical, or any professional purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, that any answer provided by the Site is correct, or that the Site will be free from inaccuracies.

The quiz code, the interface, the question set and the page design are the work of the Site creator, CxDeV. Territorio is free to play, and you are welcome to share a link to it, use it in a classroom, or send it to a friend.
If you want to reuse a substantial part of the code, the copy or the design, including republishing it or building a paid product on it, just ask first. Message @cxdevstudio and we can usually work something out. Copying it and passing it off as your own is the one thing that is not fine.
The map is built on the free world SVG from Simplemaps, Copyright 2020 Pareto Software, LLC DBA Simplemaps.com, released under the MIT licence. The shapes were recoloured, grouped per country and given labels and hit targets for this quiz. The map keeps its MIT licence, and the full notice is in NOTICE.txt. That licence covers the map artwork only: it does not extend to the quiz code, the copy or the design.
Country names, capitals and borders are facts, and nobody owns them.
This release has no advertising. If ads are added later they will be served by a third-party network such as Google AdSense, and this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated before they start.
This Site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Simplemaps, or any government or international organisation. Country and border representations do not imply any endorsement or recognition.

The Site is intended to be safe for classroom use. Users under the age of 13 should use the Site with a parent or teacher's supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
